Can I bring a truck with mexican plates to canada, if its under my friends name but I have a notarial lette?

I am a Mexican citizen working (under work permit) in Canada, and I want to bring my car to Canada (2006 mercury mariner) . My car has Mexican plates (from the state of Quintana Roo) and it is registered under my cousins name but i do have a notarial letter where he yields the rights of the car to me (I don't have a bill of sale since I'm still paying for it). I also have a US visa. Can I bring it to Calgary under this cirstances? THANKS!
