Weed a gateway drug? But alcohol not?

The way I see this if weed is getting all this bad press about being a gateway drug then why is alcohol cled as one. Of corse weed is a gateway drug thats just ridiculous to say because who in the right mind starts at heroin. In fact I believe that alcohol is more of a gateway drug as it introduces you to a whole different world of drugs when your out in town, I did my first pill when drinkin.
