What do you think of the name Missy?

my name is melissa and my whole family calls me missy, i personally dont care that they call me that but when anyone outside my family calls me that i dont like it. i think its a really informal name, if that makes sense. its a nickname, and it reminds me of a small child, now that im an adult i feel like melissa is more suitable.
