New tongue piercing, Questions?!?

So I got my tongue pierced 4 days ago and I just have a couple of questions. one my tongue towards the back of my mouth is kind of white along the sides and red down the middle. It doesn't really hurt, except the bottom of my tongue hurts, and there is one really tiny bump to the side of the bottom ball. The top of my tongue right at the hole feels tight like the barbell is stuck. I've cleaned it to the best of my ability. 4 or 5x a day not including my brushing and I gargle with sea salt. Can I use peroxide.? My mouth has been really dry lately and slimy feeling. Is all this normal? I don't know what is normal about a tongue piercing Ive never had one, some people say it is normal others aren't sure. An other minor question is when can I make out again? Thank you. Tell me anything you can about tongue piercings? I'm really freaking out about something being wrong. I don't have health insurance so I can't go to the doctor just for them to say it's not infected and the place where I got it is far away and there isn't a shop around where I live.
