Teacher in hospital, i wnana visit?

so i and a 10th grade student who goes to a medical academy school. one of my teachers, he is a doctor, has fallen ill. he was in cardiac arrest, slipped into a coma, and out, and back in, his condition is too weak for byp surgery. he was a realyl great mentor, i had him for one semester yet i learned more than i ever did in my other cles. he is a wonderufl teacher, but i was wondering if it was possible if i could go visit him at the hospital? and if so what would the procedures be, i.e sign n as this and get this bring this, etc.
