What cl should I play? (World of Warcraft)?

Shammys are a cool cl but I think Mages are a good bet. There are interesting combinations with them (frost and fire combo for a frostfire bolt mage) or just maxing a spec is awesome too. Plus they have a lot of fun spells if you feel like (polomorph rabbit!) Also in a group their conjure water is always asked for and conjure refreshment for raids if you group alot.
