Do my unsecured debts become of equal responsibilty to my partner if we get married?

if my partner and me get married in england do my unsecured debts become her responsibility? to be more specific:- I have a variety of credit cards debts, over drafts, loans outstanding. What I'd like to know is - if i were to default or miss payment would my wife be held accountable?! Bearing in mind she has NO connection to me when I signed for these loans, we dont have a joint bank account and the mortgage is NOT in my name. To sum up basically in the worst case scenario - Can bailiffs repossess her property or give her bad credit rating based on my financial short comings?! I am very much hoping, logically, as she did not sign for these debts anywhere she will be safe!!! any istance gratefully rec'd thx!
