Would I get custody of our 10 month old?

My husband and I are both from Missouri but he's stationed in California with the Marine Corps, so that's where he, our 10 month old and I are living. He works for the government so he's guaranteed a job with benefits and a home even, while I don't work or anything. If we got divorced I would moe back to Missouri and live with my parents. Who would get custody of our baby? My husband could have to go on a field exercise or be on 24 hour duty and could even get deployed again. I've never spent more than 4 or 5 hours away from him our son. Would our baby go to Missouri with me or stay in Cali with him and how would sharing him work out??
